Arts Administration Position, Silver Spring, MD

Manager for After-School Drama Programs

Responsibilities Include:
· Coordinating and administrating 50+ creative drama and after school classes at various locations in the Washington/Baltimore metro area.

Qualifications
· Excellent administrative skills; experience required
· Good computer skills (Strong Microsoft Word & Excel mandatory)
· A car
· Detail-oriented and able to meet deadlines

· Great phone manner, personable, team player and self-starter
· Promotion, drama and teaching experience a plus

Facts About the Position
· 28-30 hours per week between the hours of 9 AM-6 PM.
· The office is in Silver Spring, MD in a comfortable home office with two other part time staff.
· The position offers no benefits.
· We are looking for a candidate that can make a minimum of a one year commitment.

Rate of Pay
· $15-$17 per hour depending on experience

Upper School Drama Teacher and Director, North Shore Country Day School, Winnetka, Il

Description:
Grades: 9-12, with possible addition of one Middle School class.

Min. --Bachelors Degree in Theatre; significant school teaching experience and/or significant experience directing school theatre productions.

Drama Director will teach classes in Upper School (and possibly Middle School), and direct four Upper School productions each year. Position will also participate in all aspects of the Upper School­via Academic Advisory, Homeroom activities, etc. Musical and non-musical plays; small and large casts.

Candidate should demonstrate strong skills in teaching acting and theatre--in elective and introductory classes, and should have a broad vocabulary of Theatre­plays and musicals. Candidate should have great organizational skills and demonstrate an ability to participate in a well-established program, develop curriculum for existing classes, write curriculum for new classes, and demonstrate initiative to lead a comprehensive Theatre program.

Database Administrator, Imagination Stage, Bethesda MD

The Database Administrator's primary responsibility will be to administer organizations database systems. As a key member of the team, the Database Administrator will utilize Raiser's Edge to streamline organization processes and procedures, import new records, manage custom reports, and prepare staff with analysis and updates. The candidate will report directly to the Managing Director.

Primary Tasks and Responsibilities include:
• Provide database administration to assure that the Raiser's Edge database supports the transactional and informational needs of the organization.
• Ensure that the processing, tracking, reporting, and acknowledgement of gifts are performed in an accurate and timely fashion. Import of new records and general database clean-up will be required on a regular basis.
• Coordinate with team members for new or modified report needs.
• Build and run unique queries, analysis reports (including Crystal), exports, mailing lists and other items as needed by team members.
• Monitor and manage the performance of the database to assure efficient operation.
• Keep all database users up-to-date, informed, and confident of data issues and processes.
• Document standard procedures for Raiser's Edge use.
• Stay current on professional, technical, and evolving work related issues; serve as a resource for advice or information on best practices to colleagues.
• Work with the Director of External Affairs and the Associate Director of Patron Services to build seasons and events in The Patron Edge.
• Ensure that all events and updates are posted to The Patron Edge Online in a timely manner.

Qualifications:
• Two to five years relevant work experience in database administration in a nonprofit, marketing, or fundraising environment.
• Superior proficiency with The Raiser's Edge and Patron Edge (or similar ticketing) software, be proficient in SQL, Crystal, Excel, Word, HTML, and have a thorough understanding of database importing/exporting, especially across different platforms.
• Demonstrated ability to learn new systems.
• Significant experience developing, implementing, and improving processes/procedures.
• Outstanding organization skills, including managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Ability to prioritize work, be proactive, take initiative, and resolve problems.
• Excellent communication skills; ability to interact collaboratively with staff in an organization with diverse concerns and needs.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Solid analytical and project management skills.
• Bachelors Degree from an accredited college or university with preference of degree in Information Technology or similar field or equivalent experience.
• Should be a team player and have the ability to work with a variety of individuals.

Compensation:
$40k + excellent benefits
