Full-Time Teacher/Designer/Technical Director, Latin School

Latin School is a private K-12 school in Chicago seeking a one-year sabbatical replacement for a full-time Teacher/Designer/Technical Director. Our season includes four fully-staged student productions, plus classwork showings, band, and choir concerts. The applicant would have scenic and/or lighting design assignments and serve as technical director for all events. Responsibilities include teaching and supervising student scenery construction, installation, and lighting work; working with director to manage technical rehearsals and performances; and supervising technical aspects of student assemblies and special events including microphones and video projection. This position also teaches a fall Upper School stagecraft class with an assistant. Duties are roughly ¾ Upper School grades 9-12 and ¼ Middle School grades 5-8.
