GENERAL DUTIES:
Performs teaching and related faculty functions in area(s) of expertise as noted below.

CAMPUS-SPECIFIC INFORMATION:
This position will require teaching, mentoring and advising graduate level students as well as participation in Program, Department and University committees.

Teaching may include courses in the following areas: Foundations of Educational Theatre; Theatre for Youth and Young Audiences; Fundamentals of Teaching Theatre; Curriculum, Instruction and Assessment in Educational Theatre; and Research Seminar in Educational Theatre.

The prospective candidate may be responsible for supervising student teacher candidates, coordinating fieldwork sites and spearheading curricular development.

The program in Educational Theatre is an exciting new graduate program committed to providing teacher candidates with an interdisciplinary approach to education. As a developing program, we are seeking a dynamic individual who is interested in working collaboratively with faculty and students to create new project and initiatives. Additionally, prospective candidates should be actively engaged in the ongoing dialogue in the field of Educational Theatre.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
A Bachelor's degree area(s) of expertise and other qualifications noted below as being necessary for satisfactory performance of job duties. Also required is the ability to teach successfully.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
A Master's Degree and/or Ph.D. in Educational Theatre, Applied Theatre, Theatre Outreach or the equivalent; at least 5 years teaching experience. Teaching experience can include, but is not limited to, work in the following areas: Public School teaching Pre K-12, Teaching Artist work, Professional Development facilitation, Higher Education instruction. Record of publications and/or conference presentations preferred.

NOTE: Candidates with appropriate combination of qualifications and experience may be considered for the rank of Assistant Professor.

COMPENSATION:
Salary commensurate with rank, qualifications and experience.
